Toad Suck Daze is much more than just a festival. Toad Suck Daze is much more than just a festival. It is an integral part of our community, building a legacy of funding educational and community initiatives in Faulkner County. In fact, more than $2.7 million in our community toward scholarships, STEM education initiatives, endowments, preschool funding, arts education, and community development. We couldn’t be more proud to be part of this important legacy for future generations and look forward to seeing you all this year.

As the festival grows, so do the goals for Toad Suck Daze's education and community initiatives. Funds for these programs come from festival proceeds and the sale of ‘official’ Toad Suck Daze merchandise. Every time you buy a corndog, ride a carnival ride, talk to a festival sponsor, or wear your Toad Suck Daze t-shirt - YOU are helping us to provide much needed funding in the area.

COMMUNITY SERVICE SCHOLARSHIP

The Toad Suck Daze Community Service Scholarship was established to foster an opportunity for civic responsibility, education, outreach and community growth among Faulkner County youth. Each of the recipients of the scholarship have completed at least 20 hours of community service while in high school and will be volunteering during the festival. 2026 Scholarship applications are closed; 2027 applications will open in February.

Applicant Criteria:

Applicant must be a graduate of a Faulkner County high school, homeschooled and living within a Faulkner County school district. Students currently enrolled at CBC, Hendrix, UCA, or UACCM that are applying must have graduated from a Faulkner County high school.
Applicant must attend CBC, Hendrix, UCA, or UACCM during the upcoming Fall Term.
Applicant must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher, based on a 4.0 scale.
Applicant must show proof of completing at least 20 hours of volunteer service while in high school.
Applicant must submit a one-page essay describing the volunteer service contributed to the community, how and why it benefited the community, and what was learned.
Applicant should demonstrate financial need.
Scholarship recipients must complete 12 hours of volunteer service at the Toad Suck Daze festival this year.

The Toad Suck Daze scholarship application is an online application. Applications will be open on February 1 and can be found on the Arkansas Community Foundation’s scholarship website. The deadline to apply is March 15. Once on the scholarship website, take the eligibility quiz to generate a list of scholarships for which you qualify. The Toad Suck Daze GetSmart Challenge Scholarship will show as eligible for students from Faulkner County that are planning to attend CBC, Hendrix, UCA, or UACCM. You will need to create an account to fill out the application.
